6/26/12 - Blacks

Made it out in the water at 6:30am today and made the entrance via Farms Rd.  Super nice day out today with nice warm water and sunny sun coming out nice and early again.  Waves were decent in the waist high to occasionally larger sets.  Most of the the shoulders were pretty soft but once and a while one came in that would be really fun.  Not much of crowd out with with a few locals and randoms with most people sitting on middle peak.  Stayed out until about 8:15 and called it a day.  Tide went low at 8:30 at a 0.83ft.   Dolphins, seals and tons of bait fish swimming about as well.

6/25/12 - Blacks

Walked down from Farms Rd again today and met Russ in the water on middle peak.  It looked really small when I was walking down but as soon as I paddled out the sets started coming in and it was really fun with mostly clean waist to very occasional chest high.  For about a half hour right after getting out I was able to catch back to back waves with no crowd in the water at all!  Then when the tide bottomed out at 8am at .5ft the waves started doubling up and backing off a bit so it was time to get out.  The conditions were really nice again with early sun, almost no wind, and warm water.  Got to love summer when there is actually swell.  TP buoy only showing primary swell of 1.7-2.1ft at 210 degrees at 13 second intervals.

6/24/12 - Blacks

Went out this morning with Russ and walked down from Farms Rd at around 6:30 am.  The waves were very similar to Saturday with some really fun sets coming in from south peak to middles but a little more crowed and inconsistent but still some really fun sets coming in at around chest high.  When the tide was still going low the conditions were ideal with light winds and early morning sun but the as the tide bottomed out around 8am the waves died off pretty quick so we got out fairly early for breakfast.  From what I remember the buoy was showing around 3ft with a combo swell from NNW and SSW.   I saw a dolphin completely launch out of the water today Sea World style and land pretty close to me which was pretty cool.

6/23/12 - Blacks

Went to blacks on this beautiful morning around 7am and the walked down from Farms Rd solo.   With the long period south still in the water the waves were breaking really far south almost to the road.  Most people where over on south peak to middle so was able to grab a bunch of really fun waves.  Tide was dead low and the sun was up and out really early for a change.  Over a really fun day.

6/22/12 - Blacks

Paddled out this morning around 6:30.  Waves were so so at mostly waist high and occasionally bigger especially down on south peak but that was pretty crowed with the schools being out now.  Tide was dead low -0.5ft at 6am going high to 3.8ft at 12:30pm.  The shape was a little disorganized and once and a while you could get one that would line up but it was pretty junky.  Primary swell showing from 208 degree at 2.3-2.9ft  at a very long interval of 16.4 seconds so the waits between sets took forever.  I spotted some sketchy looking fins early on in the session and then later saw a seal so hope it wasn't what I think it was.

6/19/12 - Blacks

Tried surfing this morning at 5:30am but the waves were pretty tiny.  If you were lucky you might get a small waist high wave but they were really mushy and crossed up.  As the tide started rising it did get a little bit better but not by much.  Highlight of the session was watching a pretty large fishing vessel net fishing close to shore with tons of birds trying to get in on the action.  Solo dolphins cruising around today but not surfing.  Was out of the water by 7.  Low tide was -0.63at 4:14am going to 3.58ft at 10:44am.  Surprisingly TP buoy showing 1.8-2.2ft, 237 degrees, at 13.8 second intervals.
