Headed down this morning from the GP with Chris and Josh. With the full blue moon the must have been a good party because a lot of people were still parting down on the beach. Waves were chest to head range but a bit cross up, inconsistant and as crowded as I have ever seen it that early in the morning. A few funs ones to be had still with the rising tide helping it out as well. TP buoy showing some decent energy at 3.8-4.7ft, 200 degrees, 19 seconds, combined sea height at 4.8 feet. Water also a bit cooler this morning but after the sun came up it was fine in the short sleeve full.

6/24/12 - Blacks
Went out this morning with Russ and walked down from Farms Rd at around 6:30 am. The waves were very similar to Saturday with some really fun sets coming in from south peak to middles but a little more crowed and inconsistent but still some really fun sets coming in at around chest high. When the tide was still going low the conditions were ideal with light winds and early morning sun but the as the tide bottomed out around 8am the waves died off pretty quick so we got out fairly early for breakfast. From what I remember the buoy was showing around 3ft with a combo swell from NNW and SSW. I saw a dolphin completely launch out of the water today Sea World style and land pretty close to me which was pretty cool.

2/21/12 - Blacks
Paddled out this friggid morning at 6:30. Winds were blowing offshore with the tide peaking at around 9. Waves were about chest high on the sets but were swamped out due to the tide. Sets were fun right when you drop in but would quickly mush out. Started breaking on the inside when I was leaving at 8:30 and I am betting it will be really fun on low tide. Saw a bunch of bird flying in what looks like a tornado formation. Must have been a major upwelling in the air. Also saw a seal in water after Russ mentioned that one washed ashore at scripps on Sunday without a face. Yikes. TP buoy showing 2.5 - 3.1ft at 273 degrees at 13.4 secs. High tide at 8:25am 5.6 ft dropping fast to a -.6 at 3pm.
